Feet tapping to the cadence of the Spanish guitar as his hands frisk and moldes itself on the fretboard. His voice cry out in a melody of a song. His mind is one with the tune as warm light radiates from the lamp.

The Pillowman

Listening to:
Thinking of:

A viciously funny tale of 2 brothers and a series of gruesome yet entertaining short stories. Incredibly twisted yet in a strange manner evokes the soft spot in the hardest heart...

"Did he make you bend down?"

Witty and funny but also somber at parts... The crowd response in a digital fashion with pin drop silence or with bursts of laughter. Never seem to have a boring moment...

"He killed himself... and he's the hero!"

"The father, as we have established, treats the little girl badly, and one day the girl gets some apples and carves some little men out of these apples, all little fingers, little eyes, little toes, and she gives them to her father but she says to him they’re not to be eaten, they’re to be kept as a memento of when his only little daughter was young, and naturally the pig of a father swallows a bunch of these applemen whole, just to spite her, and they have razor blades in them, and he dies in agony."
Listening to: Offshore 97, Chicane
Thinking of:

Yeah, I finally got the stupid Chicane CDs... 2nd hand off ebay... Well, Chicane is basically Nick Bracegirdle's attempt at dance music and I do like it... if only it didn't cost so much. Ah well... Elaine!! Ur' fault this one, just by one song request... sigh...

Anyway, I did attempt to update this a couple of times... but all the drafts remained as they were and nothing got published. Hence a summary of the past couple of weeks...

Work... Nothing new... Always a new assignment every week.
Richa went back to India for the hols
Campus is like a dead town aside from the horde of corporate penguins.
Travels... well, thinking of... I think I've gotta make a decision by tonight
Books, nothing much unfortunately... finally finished "Starter for 10" and I'm starting on a Haruki Murakami, though I've gotta find time and effort to immerse myself in it.

I suppose with it being the holidays, I really should be more productive not only in studies but also in terms of catching up with friends and living life again. I've got to think of an idea for a Microsensor and then come out with a design for it. Some people spend an entire lifetime on something like this, yet the class gets till middle of April. It's a tall order and everyone has to have a unique sensor.

The sheep are not out grazing today... And once again, it's gloomy with clouds overhead.

These days I find myself hanging out with my classmates more often... I think it's a good thing...

Found in a box, some old photos of which I've forgotten about... that was pleasant. I miss taking photos.

Basically in summary... this post like my life is stuck in a dull state, waiting for something to happen. Yet, some say you've gotta make things happen... Meh

Shiny Happy People

Ah... the residential area of mine...

KUALA LUMPUR: A man is believed to have killed his parents before slitting his throat, apparently over his relationship with a woman from another community.

The 36-year-old man is said to have murdered his parents yesterday night at their house at Taman Melawati in Ulu Klang here.

The father, a 66-year-old retired staff of Tenaga Nasional Bhd, was found with his throat slit in the living room of their double-storey house.

The man's mother’s body with the throat also slit was found in the kitchen. She was 64. The man's body was discovered in his upstairs bedroom.

His uncle, who stays in the neighbourhood, made the gruesome discovery at about 8pm when he broke into the house.

It is learnt that the uncle went to the house to check on the family after he failed to get them on the telephone.

He then broke into the house and discovered the three bodies.

Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm (II) Hadi Ho Abdullah said initial investigations showed that the man killed his parents and committed suicide.

He said a knife was found at the scene and messages were found written in blood on the walls of his bedroom.

According to a neighbour Zahid Abdul Hamid, the man had told him a month ago that he had converted to another religion and was going to marry the woman soon.

Zahid, who is also the Rukun Tetangga chairman, added that the man looked happy about the situation.

It is learnt that the woman had been staying with the man and his family for the past four months.

On Sunday night, police took the woman away after her parents lodged a missing person's report.
