Confuc-ion
T'was never a big fan of Confucious, but credit where it's due... A man of wisdom and generousity to impart his truisms on the world. In current context, the battles between wit and desire in their limited capacities wage on forward. I remember the time I kept dreaming of wisdom, afterall... Knowledge without wisdom is rather scary.
"By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest."
Yet, my current presentiment is nicely encapsulated with a big red bow below
"He who learns but does not think, is lost! He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger."
